Icarus at the Edge of Time is a mesmerizing tale set in outer space about a boy who challenges the awesome might of a black hole. Go on a whirlwind voyage through space and time in this futuristic re-imagining of a Greek myth, featuring an original score by Philip Glass, script adapted by physicist Brian Greene and Tony award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang, and a film created and directed by Al + Al. Great for music and science fans of all ages, Icarus will be performed by the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra and narrated by Broadway star Kate Shindle. Dr. Brian Greene opens the show by introducing the science of general relativity and black holes, and the possibility of time travel that they offer.
